“I enjoy having the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life by helping give them the guidance to improve their function both in specific and day to day activities.”
Phillip is a native of the Harbor area. After graduating from Hoquiam High School he entered the United States Air Force and spent the next 21 years working on electronics on a variety of aircraft. During that time he required surgery on his shoulder, providing him with his first introduction to physical therapy. After retiring from the Air Force he returned to school, graduating from Grays Harbor Community College with an AA and a Certificate in Health and Fitness in 2001. Phillip then continued on to Green River Community College, completing the Physical Therapist Assistant (P.T.A.) program and graduating with Honors in 2003 .
Phillips background in strength and conditioning and his enjoyment for the game of golf have greatly influenced his approach for maintaining and improving physical function, and he passes this onto the patients he has the opportunity to serve. Phillip is credentialed to administer Physical Capacity Evaluations using the Matheson System. He has completed the Back to Golf Performance and Rehabilitation Program, enabling him to provide educated motion and strength advice and activities for improved golf function. Phillips continuing education has focused on neurological rehabilitation, and he recently completed a program for improved guidance for neurorehabilitation following a Cerebral Vascular Accident (CVA or Stroke).
