Jill received her Physical Therapy degree from the University of Missouri in 1996, Summa Cum Laude. She traveled with her husband, Patrick, extensively throughout the east coast in various orthopedic and physical therapy settings before she moved to Grays Harbor in 1998. She has been practicing at Harbor Physical Therapy since 2001, and a co-owner since 2003. Jill joined the less than 2% of Physical therapists that are awarded Board Certification as an Orthopedic Clinic Specialist by the Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2001. She is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapists as well as the American Physical Therapy Association Private Practice Section.
Jill likes to integrate Pilates and yoga principles into her treatment approach, and she is a Certified Pilates Instructor through ProHealth Institute for Health Professionals. She is also finishing her advanced certification through Balanced Body. Jill’s continuing education has focused on osteopathic manual therapy, and has also included Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Dysfunction and Women’s Health.
Jill performs Physical Capacity Evaluations using the Matheson System, and also helped to implement a Stretch and Flex Program for injury prevention at local businesses. She initiated an injury screening and prevention program for dancers and gymnasts in Seattle, and more recently, has been a guest lecturer at the Grays Harbor Community College Health Fitness Promotion program. Jill serves as an expert witness physical therapist throughout Oregon and Washington.
